Allegations Trail Asake’s ‘Lungu Boy’ Tour as Former Associate Claims Key Role in Its Success

Nigerian Afrobeats star Asake’s ‘Lungu Boy World Tour‘ has come under scrutiny following allegations from an individual who claims to have played a crucial role in its execution.
The tour, which promotes Asake’s third studio album ‘Lungu Boy,‘ has seen the singer perform across various international locations since its release on August 9, 2024.
The album features high-profile collaborations with Wizkid, Travis Scott, Stormzy, Central Cee, and Ludmilla, further cementing Asake’s global appeal. However, recent developments have shifted attention away from the tour’s success to backstage controversies.
A man identified as Tunde Babalola, who claims to be a former member of Asake’s team, has made bold statements regarding his contribution to the European leg of the tour.
Taking to social media, he suggested that he was instrumental in ensuring the tour’s completion, despite significant challenges.
“Shoutout to me for single-handedly making sure the European leg of this tour was completed against all odds. Keyword: single-handedly. ME! You would be a slave to Live Nation, period, but for me. Thanks for my plaque @livenation @creativeartistagency,” Babalola wrote on Instagram.
He further elaborated, saying, “We are going to stick to verifiable facts. No hate around here. You can’t sack a boss. For all the non-the-wiser gang, I’m a boss—been boss before he made a dime. The issue is, he’s a pathological liar and a user, and we are holding him accountable. That’s all it is.”
Babalola’s claims have ignited conversations on social media, with fans and industry insiders debating the unseen efforts that go into organizing major concerts and world tours.
As of now, Asake and his management have remained silent on the matter, leaving fans eager to see if an official response will be issued in the coming days.
