Some artistes sound alike and here we’re comparing the creative similarities between Tems, Ayra Starr, and Fave.

However, artistes sounds alike and its fine, in Nigeria music industry, a lot of artistes sound alike, from Rema, Victony, Ckay, and a lot more, so here is comparing Tems, Ayra Starr, and Fave’s creative similarities.

First of all, lets talk briefly Biography of them, Temilade Openiyi  known professionally as Tems, is a Nigerian singer, songwriter, and record producer.

She rose to prominence when two of her songs reached the top 40 on the Billboard Hot 100 in 2021, her collaboration with Drake on the song “Fountains” from his album Certified Lover Boy, and the Wizkid single “Essence”; the latter of which reached the top ten following a remix with Justin Bieber, and earned her a Grammy Award nomination.

While Ayra Starr, Oyinkansola Sarah Aderibigbe, known professionally as Ayra Starr, is a Nigerian singer, songwriter and model. Born in Cotonou, Ayra Starr began a fashion career at the age of 16 with Quove Model Management before deciding to pursue music.

Also, Fave, Chidozie “Fave” God’sfavour popularly known as Fave is a Nigerian musician, singer, songwriter and performing artist, she is known for her hit single Baby Riddim, the song received mostly positive reviews from music critics

Factually, it will be very hard to differentiate all of them in one song, if eventually all of them featured in a song, they basically have same voice textures even though their pen game would set the differences.

Also, in a different angle, Ayra Starr is essentially the Tems who ‘transformed.’ Now that we have your attention, let us clarify; Ayra Starr isn’t a carbon copy of Tems, but she does sound like Tems when she flexes her octaves to accent the final syllable on words, sentences, and cadences.

In lonely, Ayra Starr strikes that similarities with Tems as well,

On the Fave part, when she first released ‘Baby Riddim’ some people thinks it was Tems singing, until they checked, the texture of the voice was very similar to each other, its very normal, people have various similarities.

In summary, there’s no single one of them copying each other, they all have different style in their craft and knows perfectly know how to make it work, if Fave was first to debut, it will still look like the other two are copying her.

So, having same similarities in voice texture doesn’t mean anyone is copying each other.
