I’ll beat Nasty C in a rap battle – Chinko Ekun
Nigerian indigenous rapper, Chinko Ekun, recently expressed his confidence in his freestyle skills by claiming that he could out-rap South African rap sensation Nasty C in a freestyle contest.
This statement was made on his official Twitter handle on October 2, 2023, during a discussion among fans about the possibility of a rap battle between the two artists.
The conversation began with a video of Nasty C freestyling on The Radar, and a fan suggested that Nigerian artists such as Dremo, Rema, Chinko Ekun, and Wale Turner could outperform Nasty C in rap.
This fan even challenged others to provide a Nasty C rap verse that was “harder” than Chinko Ekun’s, stating that if they could, she would deactivate her account.
In response to a comment that suggested Chinko Ekun couldn’t compare to Nasty C because he raps in his dialect (Yoruba), Chinko confidently asserted that he could go head-to-head with Nasty C in English for a full hour. He believed that in such a battle, Nasty C would tire out before he did.
Chinko Ekun’s statement reflects his self-assuredness in his freestyle abilities and his willingness to take on a challenge from a fellow artist known for his rap skills like Nasty C.
