Chike discusses his views on “accidental” pregnancies.
During an interview on the ‘Echoo Room’ podcast, Chike recently expressed his thoughts on accidental pregnancies and abortion.
The artist does not believe that accidental pregnancies occur, despite the fact that many people do.
The singer went on to say that, because of the advancement of medical technology, it is now highly unlikely to become pregnant by accident.
“I always believe say belle (pregnancy) no be mistake,” Chike said.
“All due respect to those who have made it as a mistake. I don’t believe it’s a mistake.”
Chike steadfastly declined to express an opinion on the subject of abortion, arguing that everyone has the right to approach the issue however they see fit.
“I don’t think I have an opinion on that. I think everybody has the right to deal with it the way they seem fit in their own relationship.
“Sometimes you want a child, sometimes you just don’t. For whatever reason, that is your business and how you want to handle it.”
The conversation also touched on scandals and Chike noted that he had been lucky so far, as what some may consider a scandal could be something as small as slapping someone or being caught in a compromising position.
“For the scandals, I think that I have been lucky because small thing can be scandal. Scandal can be when you slap someone.
“They will say you hit somebody; it’s an assault. Scandal can be you naked, having sex.
“Scandal can be you sleeping with somebody’s girlfriend.”
He expressed gratitude that nothing too scandalous had happened in his life, saying, “Where I’m driving out is we are still lucky that it’s nothing.
“If it is something that will be scandal, those things have happened in our life.
“Thank God it didn’t come out as scandal,” he said.
