Chelsea forward, Sterling discloses that Asake’s ‘Amapiano’ is currently his favorite song
In a video shared on Chelsea’s TikTok page, midfielder Raheem Sterling has revealed that his current favorite song is “Amapiano” by Nigerian singer Asake.
As the players were heading to preseason training, they were asked about their current music preferences, and Sterling expressed that he has caught the “Amapiano fever.”
Sterling’s endorsement of Asake’s song highlights the global appeal and influence of African music, as well as the diverse musical tastes within the Chelsea squad.
“Amapiano [by Asake],” Sterling said when asked about what song he listens to at the moment.
In the same video shared on Chelsea’s TikTok page, defender Reece James disclosed that his current go-to song is “Street Runner” by Rod Wave. As the players were on their way to preseason training, they were asked about their favorite songs, and James shared his appreciation for the track by Rod Wave.
Additionally, Carney Chukwuemeka, a player eligible to represent the Nigerian national team, revealed that his current favorite song is “Grateful” by Nigerian gospel artist Sinach. Chukwuemeka’s choice reflects his affinity for uplifting and inspirational music, highlighting his personal taste and connection to Nigerian gospel music.
