Carlo Ancelotti signs new Real Madrid contract
Real Madrid has officially announced that manager Carlo Ancelotti has signed a new contract, extending his tenure until 2026.
The Italian coach had been the subject of public interest from the Brazil national team, with officials openly expressing their desire to attract Ancelotti once his previous contract with Madrid concluded at the end of the current season.
It was previously understood that Ancelotti had a preliminary agreement to take charge of Brazil if Madrid chose not to renew his contract. However, Real Madrid has now resolved any uncertainty by securing the manager with a new deal.

Ancelotti had hinted at an update on his future last month during a press conference where he also publicly mentioned Bayer Leverkusen boss Xabi Alonso as a potential successor at the Santiago Bernabeu.
Real Madrid officials had been preparing a preliminary list of potential targets in case Ancelotti decided to depart. Names like Castilla chief Raul and Brighton & Hove Albion’s Roberto De Zerbi were under consideration. However, the current playing squad expressed a desire to continue working with Ancelotti.
Club president Florentino Perez is known to be a big admirer of Ancelotti’s man-management skills. Considering some significant changes to the playing squad expected in 2024, the decision was made to extend Ancelotti’s contract.
The arrival of Endrick is expected this summer, and Real Madrid is hopeful of securing the signings of Bayern Munich left-back Alphonso Davies and Paris Saint-Germain forward Kylian Mbappe.
