Burna Boy Matches Davido’s Record on US Apple Music Chart

Grammy-winning Nigerian artist, Damini Ogulu, popularly known as Burna Boy, has matched Davido’s record for the highest-peaking African album on the Apple Music United States chart.

Previously, Davido achieved this feat with his fourth studio album, ‘Timeless,’ which reached the Number 2 position earlier in the year.

Burna Boy’s latest album, ‘I Told Them,’ also reached Number 2 on the US Apple Music chart, tying with Davido’s ‘Timeless’ as the highest-peaking African project in the history of the chart. Additionally, ‘I Told Them’ secured the highest position for an African project on the European Apple Music Album chart, debuting at Number 2.

This accomplishment marks a progression for Burna Boy, as he surpassed his own record set by his 2022 album, ‘Love, Damini,’ which peaked at Number 3. Burna Boy’s ongoing success demonstrates his growing influence and popularity on the global music scene.
