Burna Boy accuses mysterious individual over false claim of luxury properties
Grammy award-winning artist Burna Boy has sparked controversy with his recent accusations, claiming an unnamed individual is falsely boasting about owning luxurious properties.
This follows the backlash Burna Boy faced regarding his alleged involvement in Speed Darlington’s arrest and detention. We report that the arrest stemmed from Speed Darlington’s controversial remarks about Burna Boy’s Grammy win and his relationship with American rapper Diddy.
In a series of Instagram posts, Burna Boy aimed at the mysterious individual, alleging they falsely claimed ownership of a house in the prestigious Banana Island, Lagos, while merely renting it. He also accused the person of misrepresenting their ownership of another property known as Elele’s house.
Burna Boy urged the individual to adopt honesty as 2025 approaches, emphasizing that lying should be considered a criminal offence. His post read:
“If you ever lied about buying Sujimoto’s house in Banana when you only rented it, do better in 2025. If you ever lied about Elele’s house being yours, do better in 2025. If you have an after-market rainbow Daytona, please stop telling people it’s real. Do better in 2025. “It should be a criminal offense to tell as many lies as certain men. The list can go on and on.”
The cryptic call-out has ignited widespread discussion, with fans and critics speculating about the identity of the person in question.
In addition to his controversial post, Burna Boy addressed comparisons between himself and the late Afrobeat legend Fela Kuti. Rejecting the parallels, he proclaimed himself as “Big 7,” emphasizing that his focus is on positivity, peace, and prosperity.
The Grammy winner hinted at an upcoming interview with popular media personality Ebuka Obi-Uchendu, sparking anticipation among fans eager to hear more insights into his life, career, and recent statements.
