Afrobeats superstar Burna Boy has finally addressed the controversy surrounding his alleged altercation with DJ Tunez, offering his own version of events while also taking a swipe at Wizkid.

Speaking during an Instagram Live session, the Grammy-winning artist pushed back against circulating claims that members of his team attacked the DJ. According to him, he acted alone, and the situation did not escalate beyond a brief physical exchange.
Burna Boy also expressed disappointment over Wizkid’s reaction to the incident, suggesting he expected a more direct approach rather than public commentary on social media.
He said:
“No be 10 people touch DJ Tunez, na only me and na only two slaps I give am. I swear with my mama, if I dey lie, make Ogun carry my mama go anywhere wey Wizkid’s mama dey. He comes go dey tweet, I think say he go send squad, na internet their own power dey. We na real life our own power dey.
I tell people make them no touch am. Na only me touch am. If say 10 people touch am, na so him go dey? I even think say him go call their oga, their oga wey go do something. But na tweet him oga come dey tweet. So what was the point, that means I don waste my time….”
His remarks directly contradict earlier claims suggesting a group confrontation, instead framing the incident as a one-on-one encounter.
At the same time, his comments aimed at Wizkid have added another layer to the already tense situation, hinting at deeper rivalry between both camps.
With differing accounts now public, the incident continues to spark debate across social media, as fans and observers attempt to piece together what truly happened.
