Sensational Nigerian singer Burna Boy has been awarded a gold plaque in France after his 2018 release ‘On The low’ hit 15 million streams.
Burna Boy who has been at the forefront of Nigerian music after he was nominated for both Grammy and Brit award seemed to have been getting a consolation for not winning any of the awards he got nominated for.
Taking to his Instagram page to reveal this feat, Burna Boy wrote:
“On the low” went Gold in France without any radio push or promo. Love every single one of you that streamed it over 15m times, it’s still #FOOTONNECK2020
It will be recalled that Burna Boy who calls himself African giant sparked outrage on Twitter after he tagged himself best after Fela.
The Heaven’s gate crooner who got his first recognition of 2020 from his collaboration with Stormzy seems to be giving Nigerians reasons why he should be considered the best after fela as he has been getting more global buzz.
