Grammy-winning Nigerian superstar, Burna Boy, broke many fans’ hearts after he said he won’t be releasing an album anytime soon.
Burna Boy announced on Instagram on September 18, 2021, that there will be no new album till further notice.
The African Giant did not give a reason for his choice, but he did declare that he has the right to chose not to release an album for an extended period of time and that no one can stop him.
He wrote,
“I might decide not to drop an album for a long time. In fact, you know what, no album till further notice.”
In March, Burna Boy hinted that he was working on a new album and promised music fans that they will experience his agony in the upcoming effort.
He appears to have postponed such intentions after releasing two tracks, ‘Kilometre‘ and ‘Question‘ with Don Jazzy in 2021.

A year without an album release would be Burna Boy’s first since 2017. In the last three years, he has released Outside, African Giant and Twice As Tall, which dropped in August 2020.
