Bukayo Saka named Premier League Player of the Month for March 2023.
Bukayo Saka of Arsenal has been named the Premier League’s Player of the Month for March 2023.
Alexander Isak, Alexis Mac Allister, Tyrone Mings, Mohamed Salah, and Saka’s teammate at Arsenal Leandro Trossard made up the six-man shortlist for the award.
However, he was always a favourite to win after a month in which he netted three goals and set up another two for the Premier League leaders.
Saka, who is receiving this award for the first time in his career, reached double digits in goals and assists in March after scoring his tenth goal of the year in a 4-0 victory against Everton to start the month. He also recorded an assist in that match.

He then added two more goals in a 4-1 win over Crystal Palace, while also recording his tenth assist of the season by setting up Gabriel Martinelli’s opening goal.
Saka is the first Arsenal player to accomplish that milestone since Alexis Sanchez in the 2016–17 season and the only player in the Premier League this season to have double digits in both goals and assists.
Just eight Arsenal players—Dennis Bergkamp, Thierry Henry, Robin van Persie, Cesc Fabregas, Theo Walcott, Santi Cazorla, and Sanchez—had reached that milestone before Saka.
