Classical Nigerian Singer Brymo has slammed Popular Nigerian artists that pay for promotion and awards.
Brymo who suggested that radio and Television stations were the ones that were supposed to be paying music artists for playing their songs likened paying for votes and awards to buying votes.
The Ara crooner who was earlier in the news when he explained why so many music acts doing great locally were not recognized explained that radio, Tv and other people committed the crimes of selling their votes.
Taking to his social media page to slam popular music stars who pay for promotion and awards, Brymo wrote:
It is corruption when famous artistes do payola or pay for any kind of promo or award for that matter, radios and tv pay for our content instead… it’s like buying votes, and the radio/tv People in turn commit the crime of selling their votes….
