Brymo Recalls Alleged 2019 Encounter Involving 2Baba and Annie, Advises Artists Against Affairs With Married Women

Nigerian singer Brymo has sparked widespread reactions after recounting an alleged encounter involving veteran musician 2Baba and his then-wife, Annie Macaulay, while reflecting on his past relationships and offering advice to younger artists.
Speaking during an appearance on the NotJustOk podcast, Brymo admitted that he had previously been involved with married women, describing it as a mistake he believes upcoming entertainers should avoid.
While sharing his experiences, the singer claimed that one of the most memorable moments came during a meeting in Lekki in 2019, where he alleged that 2Baba confronted Annie with a direct question in his presence.
According to Brymo, the incident took place at an office in Lekki Phase 1, and he said it remains one of the moments he has never forgotten.
“I remember that moment in 2019 at Naomi’s office in Lekki Phase 1 when 2face looked me straight in the eyes and asked Annie directly. I’ll never forget it. I’m wicked, you people don’t know me,” he said.
“… As at 2019. I remember that moment in Naomi’s office in Lekki Phase 1 when 2face looked me square in the eye and asked Annie ‘You don f$%^ Brymo?’. I will never forgive it.”

Brymo used the story as part of a broader message to younger musicians, warning against becoming involved in relationships with married women. He argued that such situations can have serious personal and professional consequences, urging artists to avoid decisions that could damage their careers or affect their lives.
Neither 2Baba nor Annie Macaulay had publicly responded to Brymo’s claims at the time of publication. His account reflects his own version of events.
