On Saturday, September 13, Beat FM, in partnership with Sony Music, hosted the second edition of The Beat Brunch at the elegant Wings Office Complex, Victoria Island.
The event, which has become a staple in marking Beat FM’s anniversary, commemorated the station’s 16th year of trailblazing impact in Nigeria’s media and entertainment space.
This year’s brunch carried a unique Prom theme, blending nostalgia, music, and glamour into an unforgettable celebration.
The brunch brought together an eclectic mix of industry stakeholders, executives, artists, and influencers in an intimate yet vibrant atmosphere. Headlining the music experience was Top Boy, DJ Spinall, who commanded the decks with a special set featuring thrilling performances from some of the industry’s finest, including Wande Coal, Wurld, iLLBliss, Guchi, Ajebutter22, Soundz, Dera, Amaraand Kemuel.
Among the distinguished attendees was Chris Ubosi, Managing Director of Megalectrics Limited, and Deji Awoka, General Manager of Megalectrics Limited, parent company of The Beat 99.9FM, alongside the station’s eccentric and beloved on-air personalities Osi Dirisu, Taymi B, Biola, Nicole, and Eve.
Guests also enjoyed appearances from Naija FM’s voices Joy Panam and Godwin, as well as media personality Gbemi Olateru-
Culinary delights and refreshing drinks elevated the evening’s mood, thanks to generous sponsors Castle Lite, Monkey Shoulder, and LUC Belaire, who kept guests indulged throughout the night.
The night ended on a high note with laughter, music, and memories that reaffirmed Beat FM’s position as a cultural tastemaker and Sony Music’s continued commitment to celebrating artistry and community. As the curtains fell on The Beat Brunch 2025, one truth was undeniable—16 years on, Beat FM remains the heartbeat of Lagos entertainment, and together with Sony Music, the beat goes on.
