Veteran Nigerian singer Banky W has schooled media personality Akah Nnani who blamed the increasing number of coronavirus cases in Nigeria on the arrival of Chinese doctors into the country.
Banky W who doubles as a politician and an actor took to his social media page to explain to the movie star that the recorded cases of coronavirus in the country did not increase because of the arrival of Chinese doctors.
The Lagos Party crooner further explained that the country recorded a rise in the number of coronavirus cases as a result of the increase in the daily testing capacity by NCDC.
Taking to his social media page to blame the increase in the number of coronavirus cases on the arrival of the Chinese doctors, Akah wrote:
Since the Chinese doctors came, the numbers started soaring!!! NCDC!!! Wake uuuppp!!!! Gademit!”
Responding to Akah, Banky W wrote:
The numbers started soaring because we have drastically ramped up the number of tests we are doing every day, bro. The true numbers were always MUCH worse than what we knew. We were just under-testing and under-reporting because of a lack of testing capacity.”
