Nigerian artist Ayra Starr has called for justice following the gruesome murder of Idowu Christianah, a 300-level student at the Federal University of Agriculture Abeokuta (FUNAAB), who was allegedly killed by her friend and serial killer, Ayomide Adeleye.

Reacting to the tragedy on her official X page, Ayra Starr expressed deep outrage, demanding justice for Christianah and condemning the violence against women. She emphasized that men must stop killing and assaulting women, stating that women deserve better.

Adeleye, who had been friends with Christianah, reportedly kidnapped and murdered her, later burying her body in his compound. Shockingly, this isn’t the first time Adeleye has been linked to such crimes, with his ex-girlfriend and blood sister suffering similar fates in 2018 and 2020, respectively.

Ayra Starr’s powerful statement sheds light on the urgent need to address gender-based violence. She demands justice not only for Christianah but also for other victims of such heinous acts, stressing the importance of action to protect women.

In other news, the artist behind the hit single “Bloody Samaritan” shared her perspective on why she remains unfazed by critics.

Known for her unapologetic confidence and bold public persona, Ayra Starr addressed the issue of criticism by suggesting that many of her critics are grappling with personal struggles such as poverty and depression.

According to her, these challenges often overshadow their capacity to offer constructive feedback.

Explaining her viewpoint, Ayra Starr said: “What matters less? I think opinions and people’s perceptions of you don’t matter. Trust me, people are living their lives. Everybody is busy.
