On September 21, 2024, Afrobeats sensation Asake delivered a breathtaking performance at London’s iconic O2 Arena, marking the second time he has graced the legendary venue. This achievement bolsters his status as a global music sensation.

Asake, who recently made headlines for gifting his team diamond chains, celebrated a major milestone in his career with this sold-out concert.

The event saw notable figures from the Nigerian entertainment industry, including Poco Lee, Ayo Maff, Charles Okocha, and music legend Wizkid, in attendance to support Asake.

Performing to a packed crowd of 20,000, Asake thrilled fans with electrifying renditions of his latest hits from his chart-topping album “Lungu Boy.”

While August 2023 was iconic for Asake as he first sold out the O2 Arena, September 2024 is now etched in Asake’s folklore as he replicated the feat and delivered an even more remarkable show.

Fans were captivated by performances of hit songs like “Remember,” “Fuji Vibe,” “MMS,” and more, singing along word for word.

The new stage sets and an updated setlist further elevated the O2 Arena leg of Asake’s “Lungu Boy” tour, as he balanced classics from his previous albums with fresh hits from his latest release.

A special highlight of the night was the presence of Asake’s mother, who beamed with pride as her son performed.

The show also took an exciting turn when Asake strapped into a waist harness, defying gravity to leave the crowd mesmerized by his high-flying antics.

The surprise appearance of Wizkid, who joined Asake to perform their chart-topping collaboration “MMS,” was a thrilling moment for fans.

Without a doubt, Asake’s second sold-out performance at the O2 Arena cements his position as one of Africa’s biggest artists and a rising international star.
