Seyitan Babatayo the lady who accused Nigerian musician D’banj of rape has taken to her social media page to narrate her ordeal with men of the Nigerian police force.
According to Seyitan in a press release, she made available to Instablog confirmed that she was arrested and detained for 48 hours without being charged to court.
Seyitan who tagged her experience with the men of the Nigeran police force as a normal experience for all rape victims said that rape victims are sometimes threatened by alleged rape perpetrators who are backed by the police.
Narrating her ordeal with men of the police force, Seyitan disclosed that she was arrested on the 16th of June 2020 by armed policemen who pretended to be delivery men.
According to Seyitan, she was forced to remain silent without having access to her lawyer.
Further revealing that she was not aware of her crime, Seyitan said the police who refused to give her details of the crime that she committed kept treating her like a criminal.
