I sent him money when he was in school – Asake’s baby mama opens up about relationship
A woman identified as Adijat, who claims to have a child with Nigerian music star Ahmed Ololade, popularly known as Asake, has shared details about their past relationship.
Social media reports suggest that Adijat and the singer had an 11-year-old daughter, Zeenat, before Asake rose to fame. Her claims surfaced amid allegations that the singer abandoned his ailing father, who is reportedly battling a stroke.
Recently, a video featuring Asake’s father sitting alongside family members, including Adijat, went viral. In the footage, the family made demands, including requesting that the singer purchase a ₦50 million house in Isale Eko that could generate rental income to support his father. They also called for a DNA test to confirm Zeenat’s paternity.
Speaking in an interview with Bukky Majet, Adijat recounted her experiences with Asake before he attained stardom. She claimed to have supported him financially when he was struggling, stating that she frequently sent him money from her thrift business while he was studying in Osun State.
According to her, Asake’s father played an active role in caring for Zeenat and often encouraged her to maintain communication with the singer. However, she alleged that Asake changed his attitude towards her and their daughter after completing his education.
Adijat revealed that when Zeenat turned seven, Asake finished school and relocated to Lekki. She claimed that it was at this point that he started ignoring her calls and distanced himself from their relationship.
Frustrated by the situation, she involved her mother, who attempted to mediate by calling Asake. However, Adijat claimed the singer dismissed her concerns, accused her of trying to force a relationship with him, and even threatened to block her from all platforms.
She expressed deep disappointment over his response, stating that she was heartbroken after all the years she had invested in their relationship.
Asake has yet to respond to these allegations.
