Burna Boy pulls off African Giant moves as he bags another US certification
Grammy-winning singer-songwriter Burna Boy has recently achieved a feat that has never before been done in African music, setting a new record that cannot be duplicated with another US certification.
With the gold RIAA certification achieved by “Last Last,” the talented vocalist who never gets tired of placing Africa and the afrobeats sound on the map set a new record.
‘Last Last‘ has currently sold over 500,000 units in the United States alone, making it the singer’s third solo song to do so.
Burna Boy becomes the first and only African musician to receive RIAA gold certification for his solo songs ‘Last Last,’ ‘On The Low,’ and ‘Ye.’

Recall that Mp3bullet.ng reported that ‘Last Last’ was certified gold by the Brits on September 23, 2022, after selling 400,000 units in the United Kingdom, making Burna Boy the African artist with the most gold certifications in the region.
The UK certification of Burna Boy’s Last Last also brought his total to three UK Gold certifications, including that of his Ye single and African Giant album.
Meanwhile, fans are still anticipating Burna Boy releasing the deluxe version of his 2022 ‘Love, Damini‘. The deluxe will likely come with a ‘Last Last‘ remix that features Nigerian British rapper Dave.
The arrival of the remix will further propel the song to fame in the United Kingdom and give it a shot for a platinum plaque.
