DJ Tunez and Terry Apala are linking up once again, bringing their distinct styles together on a new indigenous-fusion record titled Apala Groove.

The release reunites the pair after their previous collaboration, Apala Disco, which gained even more attention following a remix that featured Wizkid and Seyi Vibez.
This time, they return with another record built around the same cultural foundation but with a fresh, more dancefloor-focused energy.
DJ Tunez takes charge of the production, laying down a heavy Afrobeats rhythm that gives Terry Apala plenty of room to work his signature vocal style. The singer brings the distinctive cadence and percussive delivery associated with his sound, while the production blends traditional Apala elements with the bounce of contemporary Nigerian music.
At the heart of the track is the meeting of old and new. Traditional Yoruba Apala influences sit comfortably alongside modern club-ready production, allowing the cultural character of the genre to remain front and centre without losing its contemporary appeal.
Apala Groove follows DJ Tunez’s Zerry Sound and comes after his recent collaboration with Wizkid on State of Mind. The new record further reflects his continued interest in taking Nigerian sounds beyond their traditional boundaries and introducing them to wider audiences.
For Terry Apala, the collaboration is another opportunity to push his modern interpretation of Apala to a new generation. Together with DJ Tunez, he turns the familiar sound into an energetic record made for both cultural appreciation and the dancefloor.
