The European football governing body UEFA has released its much-anticipated Champions League Team of the Season for the 2025/26 campaign, celebrating the standout performers who shaped a thrilling edition of the tournament.

Selected by UEFA’s Technical Observer Group, the final XI reflects a season heavily influenced by the dominance of Paris Saint-Germain, who once again asserted their authority on the continental stage by successfully defending their title.
Meanwhile, Arsenal also earned significant recognition following their impressive run to the final.
PSG led the way with five players in the selection, underlining their control of the competition from start to finish. In goal, David Raya earned the nod after a string of commanding performances for Arsenal throughout the campaign.
The defensive line features a blend of consistency and elite-level impact, with Marcos Llorente, Marquinhos, Gabriel Magalhães, and Nuno Mendes all recognised for their crucial contributions at both ends of the pitch.
In midfield, Bayern Munich star Michael Olise was included after a breakout European campaign, joining Arsenal’s midfield engine Declan Rice, alongside PSG duo Vitinha and Khvicha Kvaratskhelia.
Rice played a central role in Arsenal’s journey to the final, bringing control and intensity to their midfield, while Vitinha and Kvaratskhelia were key figures in PSG’s continental triumph. Olise, meanwhile, announced himself on the biggest stage with performances that confirmed his rise into Europe’s elite.
Leading the attack are Ousmane Dembélé and Harry Kane. Dembélé proved decisive throughout the campaign with goals and assists in crucial knockout moments for PSG, while Kane continued to demonstrate his trademark clinical finishing as Bayern Munich advanced deep into the competition.
Overall, the selection captures the clubs and individuals who defined the rhythm of the 2025/26 Champions League season — a campaign shaped by PSG’s dominance, Arsenal’s resilience, and a collection of individual performances that lit up Europe’s biggest stage.
