Nigerian music company Dapper Music & Entertainment has officially announced the re-signing of street-pop singer Balloranking, extending a partnership that has steadily grown over the past four years.

The renewed agreement was finalized during a signing ceremony held at the Dapper Group headquarters in Lagos, symbolizing a new chapter in a working relationship that has evolved alongside Balloranking’s rise within Nigeria’s contemporary Afrobeats and street-pop scene.
According to the company, the fresh deal comes with updated terms reflecting the growth recorded since the partnership began and also signals the start of another phase in the artist’s career, with a new project already in the works.
Since joining forces with Dapper Music in 2022, Balloranking has built a reputation as one of the more consistent voices in Nigeria’s fast-moving street-pop movement, gradually carving out a sound rooted in melody, emotional storytelling, and street-inspired themes.
Rather than chasing short-lived trends, the partnership between both parties has largely focused on steady development, helping the singer grow organically while maintaining the identity that first connected him with listeners.
Over the years, Balloranking has delivered multiple projects, collaborations, and performances that strengthened his position as an artist capable of blending commercial appeal with introspective songwriting.
Speaking on the renewed agreement, the Chief Executive Officer of Dapper Group, Damilola Akinwunmi, described the deal as more than just another contract extension, noting that it represents years of shared progress and trust.
“Re-signing Balloranking means more to us than adding a name to the roster; it’s a renewal of trust between an artist and a label that has grown together. Four years in, we’re not starting over; we’re building on everything we’ve already proven. The best of this partnership is still ahead.”
Balloranking also reflected on the decision to remain with the label, describing Dapper Music as a home that has supported his growth since the beginning of his journey.
“Dapper Music has been home from day one. We’ve grown together, won together, and there was never any question about staying. This isn’t just a new deal. It’s a promise to keep going harder. The streets haven’t seen the best of me yet.”
The announcement comes at a period when Dapper Group continues to expand its influence within Nigeria’s entertainment business ecosystem through operations spanning artist management, distribution, branding, live entertainment, and media services.
The company reportedly generates more than one billion streams annually across its network while accounting for an estimated eight per cent of Nigeria’s streaming market.
