Liverpool manager Arne Slot has confirmed the squad that will represent the Reds in the group stage of the 2025/26 UEFA Champions League.

One of the most surprising omissions from the 22-man List A was Italian forward Federico Chiesa, who netted Liverpool’s third goal in their Premier League opener against Bournemouth.
Meanwhile, 17-year-old Rio Ngumoha has cut, underlining the club’s faith in its academy talent.
UEFA regulations permit clubs to register a maximum of 25 players for European competitions. Out of those, at least eight must be “locally-trained,” split into two categories:
- Club-trained: registered with the same club for at least three seasons between ages 15 and 21.
- Association-trained: registered with a club in the same national association for three seasons during the same age bracket.
Importantly, only four association-trained players can be counted toward the quota.
Slot’s submission to UEFA features several new summer arrivals, including Alexander Isak, Florian Wirtz, Hugo Ekitike, Jeremie Frimpong, Milos Kerkez, Giovanni Leoni, Giorgi Mamardashvili, and Freddie Woodman.
