Mr. Macaroni responds to those who label him as a Davido hater.
In the past week, Burna Boy and Davido have dominated online discussions for various reasons, contributing to a flurry of controversies surrounding both artists. Notably, Davido’s aide, known as Lati, made headlines after physically assaulting a fan seeking a photo with the artist. Although Lati apologized and compensated the fan, the incident garnered widespread condemnation, including from prominent figures like online activist Mr. Macaroni.
Meanwhile, Burna Boy initiated an online feud with Davido, seemingly without provocation. Despite Burna Boy’s unanticipated aggression, Davido has refrained from responding. Additionally, following Burna Boy’s disappointing results at the Grammy Awards, a fan affiliated with Davido’s 30BG camp launched an unwarranted attack on Burna Boy, deriding him as an “ode” and mocking his failure to secure wins despite four Grammy nominations.
In response to these events, Burna Boy proceeded to insult Davido, branding him a “pussy.” Surprisingly, Davido has remained silent in the face of Burna Boy’s provocation. Amidst the turmoil, Mr. Macaroni, known for his advocacy and content creation, found himself embroiled in a dispute with a Davido fan on February 18th.
The fan accused Mr. Macaroni of harboring animosity towards Davido and questioned his silence regarding a comment made by Burna Boy about veteran rapper Eedris Abdulkareem’s health.
In his response, Mr. Macaroni clarified that he avoids engaging in fanbase conflicts and emphasized that his previous condemnation of the assault on a Davido fan aimed to address bullying and injustice. He also expressed his admiration for Davido, casting doubt on the troll’s genuine support for the artist.
