Fetty Wap Bags Sentenced to 6 Years in Prison for Drug Trafficking.
American rapper Willie Maxwell II, popularly known as Fetty Wap, was sentenced to six years in jail for his involvement in drug trafficking.
The rapper was detained in 2021, and one case of conspiracy to possess and distribute cocaine was brought against him.
Fetty Wap was arrested in New York in October 2022, when he was scheduled to perform at the Rolling Loud Festival. After federal officials pounced on him and accused him with one count of conspiracy to distribute and possess controlled narcotics, he was refused performance.
The ‘Trap Queen‘ rapper was released on bond but then arrested after allegedly displaying a pistol and threatening to murder someone during a phone call in 2022.
In an update of events, Wap, who was charged with five other men in the drug trafficking syndicate, pleaded guilty to conspiracy to distribute over 500 grams of cocaine, which has earned him a six-year sentence in federal prison.
According to reports, the United States Attorney’s Office for the Eastern District of New York claimed that Fetty Wap and his clan allegedly “distributed more than 100 kilograms of cocaine, heroin, fentanyl, and crack cocaine across Long Island and New Jersey.”
