Nigerian rapper, Falz has revealed that he and his colleague Vector are collaborating on a project.
Following the successful release of the hit song “Mr. Yakubu,” Vector Tha Viper and Falz Tha Bhad Guy have both disclosed their future plans for collaboration.
In an Instagram live session, the team announced that they would soon debut a collaborative effort.
“I wish to announce to you at this very moment that myself and Vector have come together and will officially be giving you a collaborative project.”
Falz also mentioned that fans would have a special chance to participate in the project.
He declared that three of the top submissions to the “Mr. Yakubu” challenge, which was created to promote his most recent song, “Yakubu,” would be chosen to appear on the joint venture between himself and Vector.
“Three of the best entries on the Mr Yakubu challenge will be selected and all three people will feature officially on our collaborative project,” Falz said.
The ‘Mr Yakubu’ challenge, which asked fans to create their own rap verses inspired by the theme of the song, has gained significant traction on social media platforms.
The winners of the challenge will have the chance to collaborate with two of Nigeria’s biggest rap artists on a highly-anticipated project.

In the meantime, Falz has opened up using his latest single ‘Yakubu‘ to express how he feels about the conduct of the 2023 general elections.
The song “Yakubu” is a direct satire of what happened during the election, with a focus on INEC Chairman Mahmood Yakubu’s claimed involvement in the unexpected turn of events.
Falz, real name Folarin Falana, revealed during a recent appearance on Arise TV that the events shown in the song’s music video are taken directly from the election.
“As you said, pretty much an account of events as they transpired in the last couple of months, you know, with the entire episode. With the elections and everything as they’ve played out.
“That’s pretty much what it is; it’s self-explanatory, you know. If you listen to the record, you follow the story from beginning to end if you weren’t present when it all these were happening…
“You will be able to, just by listening and watching this video, to have a clear or brief summary of events as they transpired.
“And that’s what we were trying to achieve with the record”, he stated.
