“You Selected Yourself, Everybody Saw It”: Falz Knocks Governor Sanwo Olu Over Re-election Appreciation Tweet.
Folarin Falana, often known as Falz the bad guy, has responded to the tweet of gratitude from Babajide Sanwo Olu for being re-elected as governor of Lagos State.
The March 18 governorship election in Lagos did not go as planned, with claims of voter suppression.
The governor, Babajide Sanwo Olu, turned to Twitter to thank the people of Lagos for re-electing him, regardless of the events that had place.
Falz expressed his displeasure with the tweet by stating that the governor had re-elected himself.
Sanwo Olu was not re-elected, the rapper emphasised because everyone could see what transpired on election day.
He wrote:
”I’m deeply humbled and grateful for the overwhelming support and trust of the good people of Lagos State. I’m honoured to be re-elected as your governor and pledge to continue to work tirelessly to deliver a better Lagos for all. Thank you for believing in me.”
”You were not re-elected. You selected yourself. Everybody saw it unfold. You are only deceiving yourselves,” he said.

A Twitter user attempted to make fun of Falz by questioning if he was upset about Sanwo-triumph, Olu’s and the rapper responded in the affirmative.
He went on to say that the pain comes from witnessing individuals turn against one another in order to manipulate the democratic process and win an election.

“Yes it is actually.
The pain of knowing that brothers and sisters are being turned against each other in a bid to “win” an election.
Also the pain of seeing our democratic process rubbished before our very eyes”
