Ferdinand advises Harry Kane to leave Tottenham.
Manchester United legend, Rio Ferdinand, has advised Tottenham striker Harry Kane to leave the club if he wants to win trophies.
On Sunday, Kane broke Jimmy Greaves‘ 266-goal record to become Tottenham’s all-time leading scorer, breaking the mark that had held since 1970.
In addition, his goal against Manchester City gave him 200 Premier League goals, moving him into third place after Wayne Rooney and Alan Shearer, who respectively had 208 and 260 goals at the end of their careers.
Although Kane has scored many goals, he has not yet had a significant medal in his professional football career.

Ferdinand stated on his Vibe with Five podcast that the 29-year-old England captain would have to leave Tottenham for a new team capable of winning trophies.
The former England defender said, “If he [Kane] wants to win trophies, I think he needs to leave Spurs and go to a team capable of winning – because I don’t see that happening at Spurs in the near future.
“No matter what happens, he’ll go down as one of the best goal scorers this league has ever seen, no matter what. Because the guy just knows how to put the ball in the back of the net in so many different ways.”
He added, “We spoke about this before. I want to hear Harry say it. Would you be happy to finish your career with no trophies but as the highest goalscorer in the Premier League’s history? If he says yeah, then that is it. Argument done. Whatever we say is irrelevant.”
When Antonio Conte’s team takes on Leicester City in their next Premier League match this weekend, Kane will look to build on his great performance for the team thus far.
