Professional French footballer N’Golo Kante has returned to Chelsea football training ahead of their match against Crystal Palace. This is a boost for Graham Potter.
N’Golo Kante hasn’t played since Chelsea’s match against Tottenham Hotspur in the second game of the season, but he could this weekend against Crystal Palace.
Prior to Chelsea’s weekend match against Crystal Palace, Kante accelerated his return to fitness and participated in a Graham Potter training session for the first time.
The French international featured in Chelsea’s opening two matches of the season but picked up a hamstring injury against Tottenham and has missed the six games since.

The day after Chelsea’s first team players who weren’t on international duty returned to Cobham to start their training, Kante made his debut. Several academy prospects worked out with Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, Ruben Loftus-Cheek, Trevoh Chalobah, Edouard Mendy, Kepa Arrizabalaga, and Marcus Bettinelli under Potter’s watchful eye.
It will be welcome news for the Blues as Kante nears his full return ahead of an October where Chelsea has nine matches to play in a month that could set the tone for the season.
The France international has only returned to ‘part training’ however so still has work to do before making his first start under a new head coach.
