    Nigerian Afrobeat star Ckay has become the first African artist to surpass 30 million monthly listeners on Spotify, entering the top 70 ranks.

    The talented Nigerian singer-songwriter and producer Chukwuka Ekweani who is better known as Ckay has become the 70th artist on Spotify after reaching the milestone of 30 million monthly listeners on the platform.

    This was shared via Instagram on Friday, the 22nd of October 2021.

    Recall, mp3bullet.ng reported that Ckay hit “Love Nwantiti” recent triumphs have resulted in further accomplishments for Ckay, such as receiving gold certification in France. 

    In addition, the singer recently became the first African musician to reach 20 million monthly Spotify listeners, while also breaking into the top 100 of the app’s artist rankings.

    That number is growing by the day, and the afrobeat star has now reached a new milestone with 30 million monthly Spotify listeners.

    His position on the app has also increased, with the singer currently occupying the 70th spot.

    “Love Nwantiti”, was included on the singer’s CKay The First EP in 2019. TikTok has a significant role in the emergence of “Love Nwantiti” this year.

    Following the song’s positive reception, the music star decided to invest in several remixes targeting certain areas, regions, and demographics.
