Ayodeji Balogun popularly known as Wizkid has been projected to receive a Grammy nomination for his ‘Made in Lagos‘ album.
According to an article in Billboard magazine—an American music and entertainment magazine published weekly since 1894—Wizkid has a chance of being nominated for a Grammy Award in 2022 with his most recent album.
Billboard’s top bets for Grammy album nominations include Doja Cat – ‘Planet Her,’ Drake – ‘Certified Lover Boy,‘ Billie Eilish – ‘Happier Than Ever,’ Ariana Grande – ‘Positions,’ H.E.R. – ‘Back of My Mind,’ Lil Nas X – ‘Montero,’ Olivia Rodrigo – ‘Sour
They even added Wizkid’s fourth studio album, “Made in Lagos,” to their “alternative bets” list of artists whose records will be nominated for a Grammy.
Justin Bieber’s ‘Justice,’ Kanye West’s ‘Donda,’ Halsey’s ‘If I Can’t Have Love, I Want Power,’ Megan Thee Stallion’s ‘Good News,’ and a slew of other hot albums round out the Billboard alternatives list.

Wizkid’s Made In Lagos, a star-studded album featuring 14 perfect-looking tunes including collaborations with Burna Boy, Skepta, Damian Marley, H.E.R, Ella Mai, Tay Iwar, Projexx, Tems, and Starboy Terri, was released on October 3rd, 2020.
The project just set an African record by spending 46 weeks on the Billboard World Albums list, which is the longest time an African album has been on the chart.
