While Afropop Singers have always been the main attraction of the music industry, they maintain a good relationship with the Nigerian rap industry, oftentimes producing good Rapper-Singer Collaborations.
We curated a list of the Top 10 Nigerian rapper-Singer Collaborations to put on replay.
Collaborations between Singers and Rappers are not new and given the underdog status of the rap genre in Nigeria, it very necessary for Rappers.
Most of the songs to come from these collaborations often become hits, often times becoming classics.

Here are the Top 10 Nigerian rapper-Singer Collaborations;
M.I Abaga ft Flavour- Number One
In 2010, M.I Abaga dropped his classic sophomore album, “MI2: The Movie” and the album was a critical success.
“Number One” featuring Flavour which was off the album is a combination of Hip-Hop and Highlife something was rarely seen in Mainstream but the song was a hit.
Ice Prince ft Brymo- Oleku
Considered to be Ice Prince’s best song to date and one of Nigeria’s classic songs, “Oleku” was a game-changer. It was released in 2010 and ushered in a new era for the rap genre, also becoming one of Nigeria’s most covered songs.
M.I Abaga ft Waje- One Naira
M.I must have done a lot of love songs in his career but nothing tops the Waje-assisted ‘One Naira”. The song was a combination of sweet melody provided by Waje, promise filled lyrics and M.I cool swag rap style which he is known for.
Ladipoe ft Simi- Know You
Since his entrance into the music scene, Ladipoe has collaborated with a few singers but nothing caught people’s attention like his 2020 hit song, “Know You” did. The song was full of pure chemistry that got people wanting to fall in Love and Simi did not disappoint, in fact apart from Duduke, none of her 2020 songs could challenge it.
Falz ft Simi- Soldier
Simi seems to have good chemistry with rappers but the one which had people talking was that of her relationship with Falz. The two held listeners spellbound with every song they dished out in 2016, most especially “Soldier“.
The hilarious but relatable exchange between the two made the song lovable and cute to listen to.

Olamide ft Wizkid- Omo To Shan
While “Emi Duro” introduced Olamide to the music scene, “Omo To Shan” was his breakout song. The song charted on several radio stations across Lagos and was the lead single off his debut album, “Rapsodi”
Reminisce ft Davido- Daddy
Davido and Reminisce gave a live band-like performance on “Daddy Mi”. The song is so good that it was a favourite back then at the Yoruba parties called Owambe. It was part of Reminisce’s sophomore album, Alaga Ibile. We hope the two artists collaborate again.
Jesse Jagz ft Wizkid- Bad Girl
In 2013, Jesse Jagz dropped his sophomore album, “Thy Nation Come Vol 1” from which “Bad Girl” featuring Wizkid was one of the stand-out singles.
The song was a dancehall hit with Wizkid handling the hook and chorus with smooth lyrics powerful enough to woo a girl.
iLLBliss ft Runtown- Alhaji (Can’t Hear You)
In 2016, Runtown had got everyone wilding with his hit single, “Mad Over You“, he became one artist who other artists wanted to feature on their song. In 2017, he and iLLBliss collaborated together on the “Can’t Hear You” remix.
The song was produced by Del B who also produced “Mad Over You” which is why it’s not surprising that the two songs bear a similar resemblance in the beat and lyrics. But the song was still a hit and still a bop to date.

Naeto C ft D’banj- Tony Montana
In 2012, Naeto C collaborated with D’banj on the remix of his “Tony Montana” song. The banging anthem was produced by Ty-Mix.
