Wizkid just bagged the coveted crown of Artiste of the year at the 14th edition of the Headies Award.
The Artiste was nominated in the category alongside Tiwa Savage, Davido, Burna Boy, Mayorkun.
In 2019, Burna Boy beats Wizkid, Tiwa Savage, Davido, Falz to clinch the prestigious award.
In 2020, Wizkid dropped his highly anticipated album, Made In Lagos which features an impressive list of international and local artists.

The album birthed songs like Smile, No Stress, Blessed, Essence, e.t.c
This would be Wizkid’s third time winning an award in that category as he won it in 2016 and in 2012.
Meanwhile, this is not the first time he would be winning ‘Artiste of the year’ at the Headies.
The Headies Award for Artiste of the Year is an award presented at The Headies, a ceremony that was established in 2006 and originally called the Hip Hop World Awards. It was first presented to P-Square in 2006.
It is given to the most critically and commercially adjudged artiste in the year under review.
