Popular Nigerian singer; Kizz Daniel’s former record label; G-Worldwide promises to make sure his forthcoming Lagos concert doesn’t take place
it’s been almost a year since Kizz Daniel left G-Worldwide to set up his own label; Flyboy I.N.C. However, it seems his former label is not ready to let the star go just yet.
After filing a five hundred million Naira charge against him for alleged breach of contract, “Mp3bullet.ng” reports that they came out to threaten his forthcoming concert.
Recall that it was reported earlier on by “Mp3bullet.ng” that the singer would be holding a live concert in Lagos on the 26th of December.
Making a public statement, the label’s lawyer; Olisa Agbakoba (SAN), said the move will help restore orderliness in the Nigerian music industry.
His words;
“We represent one of the largest labels and we are very unhappy that one of our artistes, Kiss Daniel, has run away.
“We, as legal advisers to some of the people in the business (entertainment), we are going to play a strong and active role to promote the industry,
“What we’re trying to do with this press conference is to call attention to the fact that this nonsense that our artistes or labels, can do what they like, will have to stop.
Kizz Daniel represents the living example of how the rules of the industry are not being followed.”
He, however, added that his client is ready for out of court settlement if Kizz Daniel is willing.
Although the “Jaho” singer is yet to react to their threats, we really hope it doesn’t actualize.
There is always a way to settle things amicably, without springing forth damages to one another. Thus, we still look forward to Kizz Daniel’s Live in Lagos and trust me, It would happen!!!
