Fireboy is the last man standing, at YBNL. Probably cause he’s doing fine.

So far, he’s joined the list of contenders of Next Rated 2019. He’s one of the most promising, we all know it.
After he seized the YBNL Mafia mixtape with his charm, last December, he’s been on a mission to prove himself as one of the hottest kids on the block. And he’s not just any regular pop singer, or hip-hop or trap or no-genre guy. He’s alternative and he’s got good vibes.
And of all the new generation YBNL artists, he’s the most consistent. Even outdoing guys from other labels who have been trending before him. I like to think he’s conquering.
So, quickly, here are seven Fireboy songs you should definitely check out (if you haven’t) or put on your playlist. He doesn’t have an album, but this list is No Bad Songs!
With this only, he took over the whole YBNL Mafia mixtape. The Pheelz production is the kind of vibe that you could call a pop single, so it instantly got mainstream attention.
The music video, which was released no too long ago, was also trending for a while. And it’s not just hype, the guy’s performance on the song is quite impressive. Catchy lyrics, contagious beat, bang vocals. You don’t need more than that!
Fireboy is ’empty ladies guy, for sure. I can definitely make your girl trip, any time. Especially when he keeps bringing a vibe that we’ve only got from guys like Adekunle Gold, before.
“What If I Say” is a fan favorite, a love number, and another impressive stuff from Fireboy DML. Okay now, what if I say Fireboy is the next big thing?
He’s not an alien and he’s got a vibe. Point is, sometimes man gotta do some afro-ic vibe, some afro-pop like all his counterparts trying to put him out of business.
“Fire Down” from the Mafia album tells us he’s got the balls for that. So, talent, check. Versatility, check. Fireboy is real fire!
Never gets old, does it?
“Sing” doesn’t only show us Fireboy can flow well with a guest on his jam. He wasn’t even murdered by Oxlade, who in reality is a fire, too.
On the track, the two singers express themselves, a cool duet it is. “Badman just wants to sing,” they were yelling on the song.
His latest offering, there’s no reason this shouldn’t be on your playlist. It’s a jam with a rather cool progression and the magic touch of Fireboy.
The samples are perfect and his lyrics were something, too. He was actually pitching some vocals. Extraordinary, if you ask me.
Not a new song really, but was recently revived by some bloggers, and within hours “Fireboy King” was a top search, online. It’s a cool one, too.
“King” has a hook that reminds you of Styl Plus (as hyperbolic as that sounds), and although the vibe has a kind of Afrobeat, it’s really just some Rhythm and Blues work.
“Me I fit fight for your love, but I no fit beg for your love,” he sings on the hook. The backup work on it is very exceptional. Cool stuff.

Le Le Yi (with Lil Kesh)
Actually credited as Lil Kesh feat. Fireboy, the song was also on the YBNL Mafia album, and for some reason, Olamide brought former protege, Lil Kesh, in for the tape.
“Le Le Yi” as you’d expect, is as streetwise as it gets. Some street dance instrumental, and Lil Kesh chanting some slangs and Fireboy delivering the best chorus you’ll ever on a track that fits “street.”
If for nothing else, for the love of Lil Kesh and the YBNL family, this is a ‘sacred’ one. It’s necessary!
