‘Big possibility’ Carlo Ancelotti becomes new Brazil manager, claims Ederson.
Ederson is hopeful that Carlo Ancelotti, the manager of Real Madrid, would be appointed as the new coach of the Brazil national team.
Brazil still lacks a permanent head coach as a result of Tite’s resignation following a dismal World Cup 2022 campaign. Despite recent denials from Ancelotti and Real Madrid over rumours that the 63-year-old may quit the Santiago Bernabeu to lead the Selecao, Ederson claims his teammates have been discussing the idea of the Italian taking the job.
“I was discussing this with Casemiro, Vinicius Junior, [Eder] Militão. There is a big possibility that he comes,” The Manchester City goalkeeper told a press conference. “Just look at his CV. We will know shortly whether he will be here or not. I hope we can have a new coach quickly. I feel the anticipation too because there’s too much speculation. Is it a Brazilian or a foreign coach? We are also living that phase of anxiety.”

Ancelotti, whose Real Madrid contract runs until 2024, stated before Sunday’s Clasico loss to Barcelona that he would be content to stay with the club “for life.” Yet, there are concerns about his future at Madrid, and if he does not win a significant title this year, he may face pressure.
Los Blancos are now 12 points behind Barcelona in La Liga, behind Xavi’s team 1-0 in their Copa del Rey semifinal match, and are scheduled to play Chelsea in the Champions League quarterfinals.
The Selecao are presently getting ready for their Saturday international friendly matchup versus Morocco. Coach Ramon Menezes of the under-20 squad will be in charge of the team throughout the game.
