Nigerian singer and influencer, Speed Darlington, has claimed that many celebrities became interested in politics because of him.
He claimed that since he announced his intention to compete for president, individuals like Regina Daniels and her husband, Tonto Dikeh, Mercy Johnson’s husband, Prince Okojie, and others have become more politically committed.

In a video he shared online, he stated that he does not know if they are attempting to be like him, but he is perplexed by the notion that everyone wants to be a politician.
