Afro Nation Portugal 2023 has confirmed the inclusion of main stage headliners Wizkid and Davido, as well as new names like Little Simz, Popcaan, and Focalistic, who will all be joining the world’s biggest Afrobeats and Amapaino roster this summer.
Afro Nation, which will take place on the lovely Portimao beach from June 28 to 30, already boasts a star-studded line-up that includes, to name a few, Burna Boy, 50 Cent, Booba, Aya Nakamura, Fireboy DML, Asake, Arya Starr, Black Sherif, Oxlade, Dadju, and Ms Banks. The Star Boy himself has rejoined the group at this point.
The award-winning and multi-platinum-selling global superstar Wizkid will make his way to Afro Nation Portugal to perform a wide range of singles there with his mellow voice and enticing sounds.
Wizkid has joined Burna Boy, another Afro Nation 2023 headlining performer, to become the first African musician to headline UK Stadium events in 2023. Barely two years after his record-breaking sell-out London O2 Arena shows on the “Made In Lagos” tour, the singer is making waves.
Meanwhile, Davido, who is renowned for his contagious melodies and addictive onstage enthusiasm, has established himself as one of the most original and interesting musicians working in Nigeria.
This summer, when he returns to the stage amid much anticipation, look for another memorable performance that has the crowd singing along to his greatest hits.
This summer, Little Simz, a BRIT Award-winning songwriter, will perform in the Algarve as well, The legendary dancehall artist Popcaan will also arrive in Portugal.
And that’s not all. Another one of Amapiano’s finest Focalistic is announced as a leading name on this year’s Piano People stage, off the back of his London headline show at the start of this month.

Kamo Mphela, Felo Ła Tee, Sir Trill and Skyla Tylaa will also be appearing alongside countless South African stars, such as previously announced headliners Scorpion Kings, Major League DJz and Uncle Waffles, and so many DJs and artists behind the world’s most exciting sounds right now.
Powerhouse Musa Keys, popular singer Young Stunna, celebrated queen of genre DBN Gogo, trailblazer Vigro Deep, “future ghetto punk” superstar Moonchild Sanelly and many more will all be bringing the heat and stirring up the sand with all the latest moves this June.
Day Splits for Afro Nation Portugal 2023 have also been announced today, with Burna Boy, Aya Nakamura and Popcaan opening the show on 28th June, Wizkid, Little Simz and Asake performing on the 29th of June and 50 Cent, Davido, Booba and Fireboy DML providing the final fireworks on 30th June.

Afro Nation Portugal is poised to bring audiences from the UK, across Europe, Africa, and beyond for another unifying and happy celebration of Black music, dancing, cuisine, and good vibes. This explosive lineup, together with the reliable Portuguese sun, will help to pull these masses.
