Erik ten Hag praises Avram Glazer for showing his “intentions” by participating in the Carabao Cup final celebration.
After Sunday’s Carabao Cup victory, Erik ten Hag was thrilled to see Manchester United owner Avram Glazer visit the team’s locker room.
The club owner was in attendance as United beat Newcastle 2-0 at Wembley to win the Carabao Cup and was there alongside Sir Alex Ferguson to congratulate Ten Hag on his success afterwards.
The Glazer family has not been well-liked by fans throughout their time at Old Trafford, and at Wembley, angry chanting against their ownership could be heard.
But Ten Hag was happy to see Avram in the locker room because he felt he made a strong statement by attending the final.

The United boss said: “He was really happy for the club, as an owner. They really want to be part of it. You feel that when he’s in the dressing room, very good he was there, he had to show his intentions.”
The Glazers may not be in charge of Manchester United for much longer, since they have received proposals to sell the club.
Asked about the potential sale, Ten Hag said: “I am not involved in that process.”
United had been without a trophy for five years and 278 days, having won the Europa League in 2017. It was the club’s longest drought since 1983.
The Red Devils return to FA Cup action on Wednesday when they face West Ham.
