Rema’s “Calm Down” gets the crowd buzzing after being played at Qatar Stadium.
The Nigerian presence was felt again on the major stage of the 2022 FIFA World Cup as Rema’s hit single, ‘Calm Down,’ was played in the stadium.
Nigerian performers Kizz Daniel and Patoranking have represented their country by performing in Qatar, despite the Super Eagles’ failure to qualify for the competition after being eliminated by Ghana in the qualifiers.
A recent occurrence was when the song “Calm Down” was played and the crowd could not help but erupt into enthusiastic shouts.
Don Jazzy, who saw this as an accomplishment, reshared the content on his Instagram story.

Meanwhile, Rema’s “Calm Down” won a Gold certification from the RIAA on Thursday, December 1, 2022, after selling more than 500,000 copies in the US.
Mavin Records made the announcement on Twitter writing;
“Rema’s CALM DOWN is now certified Gold in the United Sates ???????? for sale of 500k+ units ????”
The single was released as one of the lead singles from Rema’s debut album ‘Raves and Roses’ on February 10th, 2022, and it received a positive response.
A Selena Gomez remix of “Calm Down” eventually came out, further boosting the song’s popularity worldwide and landing it on the Billboard Hot 100.
‘Calm Down‘ has surpassed a billion streams across all platforms. The international hit single is the second most streamed music video on YouTube Nigeria in 2022 and the 9th most streamed song on Spotify Nigeria in 2022
