The Music industry has been thrown into mourning again after it was reported that Popular Nigerian gospel singer, Sammie Okposo recently died early on Friday.

According to sources, the musician, who was recently in the news due to a cheating scandal, collapsed and died at his home on Friday morning. He was 51 at the time of his death.

Details regarding his death remain sketchy at the time of filing this report.

Okposo sparked outrage earlier this year when he took to his verified Instagram profile to apologise to his wife, Ozioma, for cheating on her with another lady in the United States in an incident that occurred in 2021.

Following the scandal, the singer decided to step away from ministry for a while to go back in his spiritual steps before rejoining it after a few months.

In May this year, the veteran singer escaped death by the whiskers in a ghastly car accident while driving at 3rd mainland bridge in Lagos but Okposo said he “was saved from the hands of the devil and his cohorts.”
