Kylian Mbappe Shattered a Historic Lionel Messi Champions League Record.
Paris Saint-Germain forward Kylian Mbappe once again made history in his UEFA Champions League career as he broke Lionel Messi’s historic record.
On matchday six of the Champions League group stage, Mbappe was a notable performer for PSG, scoring two goals to help the team defeat Juventus 2-1.
The French forward opened up the scoring in the match with a thunderous goal in the first half, which was the seventh goal of his ongoing Champions League campaign.

Mbappe’s goal against Juventus became his 40th overall Champions League strike. He broke the record for scoring 40 goals in the Champions League the fastest, as reported by the UEFA Champions League’s official Twitter account (23 years and 317 days).
This record was previously held by Lionel Messi (24 years, 130 days), who accomplished it in the early stages of his tenure at Barcelona.
