Barcelona Vs Bayern Munich Team News, Injury Update and Possible Lineup.
When Bayern Munich visits Camp Nou on Wednesday, Barcelona will be hoping to maintain their chances of moving on to the next phase of the Champions League.
The Catalan team is currently in third place in Group C, three points behind Inter Milan, who would progress by defeating Viktoria Plzen earlier in the evening on Wednesday, while Bayern, who are currently in first place with 12 points after winning all four of their sectional games, will advance to the round of 16 with two games to spare.
However, there is no getting away from the fact that it has been a disappointing Champions League group-stage campaign for the Catalan outfit, who have only picked up four points from four matches to sit third, three points behind second-placed Inter ahead of Wednesday’s two Group C fixtures.
Barcelona’s chances of making it to the round of 16 would be dashed if Inter wins their match against Viktoria Plzen earlier in the evening. Then it would be official that Xavi’s team had placed third in the group, sliding into the Europa League for the second consecutive year.
Bayern’s position at the top of the group is not surprising given their quality, and they have put on a fantastic group stage showing thus far with four victories from four games, 13 goals scored, and only two goals conceded.

The team led by Julian Nagelsmann defeated Inter 2-0 and Barcelona 2-0 in their opening two group games before defeating Plzen twice, 5-0 at home at the beginning of the month and 4-2 away from home the previous time.
Bayern hasn’t lost to Barcelona since the 2014–15 Champions League semifinals when they were defeated 3-0 at Camp Nou in the first leg. If they win on Wednesday, they would be crowned group winners, although first place would already be theirs if Inter were to lose to Plzen.

Injury update for Barcelona vs. Bayern Munich:
Following groin surgery, Barcelona will once again be without Ronald Araujo for this game, Andreas Christensen and Memphis Depay are also expected to sit out.
Sergi Roberto’s dislocated shoulder dealt the Catalan team a fresh injury blow over the weekend, thus Hector Bellerin might start at right back against Bayern.
Gavi sustained a blow to his abductor against Athletic, but he is anticipated to play tomorrow and may not start in the lineup in a forward three with Robert Lewandowski and Ousmane Dembele.
Frenkie de Jong appears to have now worked his way into the starting side, and the Dutchman should keep his spot, while Marcos Alonso could get the nod over Alejandro Balde and Jordi Alba at left-back.

Bayern Munich:
Injuries will prevent Bayern’s Manuel Neuer, Lucas Hernandez, Leroy Sane, and Bouna Sarr from playing on Wednesday night.
Kingsley Coman, Serge Gnabry, Jamal Musiala, and the number 10 are all expected to play for the Munich giants. Sadio Mane might be the line leader.
Hernandez’s absence forces the selection of a back four, with Matthijs de Ligt expected to start in the middle alongside Dayot Upamecano, Joshua Kimmich and Leon Goretzka most likely to make up the midfield two.
