Despite the absence of Cristiano Ronaldo, The Blues and Red Devil’s Premier League match at Stamford Bridge finished in a 1-1 draw thanks to Casemiro’s late equalizer that overturned Jorginho’s penalty.
United dominated the first half and put pressure on Chelsea, but they were rendered powerless as home goalkeeper Kepa Arrizabalaga kept the score equal and Graham Potter made a tactical substitution, replacing Marc Cucurella with Mateo Kovacic and levelling the playing field.
Raphael Varane left the game in the 60th minute with an apparent injury, hiding his face with his jersey and raising concerns about his fitness for the World Cup coming up in a month.

For the last 85 minutes, the game was tight, but Jorginho broke the deadlock with a classic penalty after Scott McTominay pulled down Armando Broja in the box.
It appeared to be the deciding goal until Casemiro latched onto a cross and headed it in the 94th minute. Arrizabalaga just about crossed the goal line after coming down off the post.
The result is the seventh straight draw between the rivals and United is now one point behind Chelsea in fourth place.
In addition, The Blues will travel to Salzburg for their Champions League on Tuesday before heading to Potter’s former club Brighton in the Premier League on Saturday.
The Red Devils will play Sheriff Tiraspol in the Europa League on Thursday, followed by a Super Sunday match against West Ham at Old Trafford.
