Today makes it four years since Nigeria lost one of its best R’n’B artists, OJB Jezreel to the hands of death. Also, June 12th was also the death anniversary of gospel artiste, Kefee.
For this list, we won’t be mentioning songs from music icons like Christy Essien, Ras Kimono, Majek Fashek, Oliver de Coque, Fela Kuti, Sir Warrior, Osita Osadebe and the rest.
5. MC Loph feat. Flavour – Osondi Owendi
Mc Loph was a rapper who died in a tragic accident while en route to his hometown for his traditional marriage in 2011.
Mc Loph broke into the music with his cover of Late Osita Osadebe‘s hit song, “Osondi Owendi”. In the song, he features his friend, Flavour. The song was a massive hit, especially among the Igbo tribe.

Kefee was a popular Gospel artiste, who came into the music scene with ‘Brahama” and died in 2014 from lung failure. She enlisted the help of fellow South-South artiste, Timaya to deliver her best song ever, “Kokoroko”.

OJB was a singer, songwriter and record producer. The versatile artiste had worked with a different range of artistes in Nigeria. He died in 2016 from Kidney disease.
