Nobody hacked my account – 2Baba confirms separation from Annie Idibia

Nigerian music legend, Innocent Idibia, popularly known as 2Baba, has confirmed his separation from his wife, Annie Macaulay-Idibia
In a video shared online, the singer addressed speculations surrounding a now-deleted Instagram post about their marital status, stating that his account was not hacked.
The controversy began on Sunday when a statement appeared on 2Baba’s official Instagram account, announcing that he and Annie had been separated for some time and were in the process of filing for divorce.
The post read: “I and Annie Macaulay have been separated for a while now, and currently filed for divorce… I would grant a press release soon to say my story.”
Shortly after the statement was published, it was deleted, and a follow-up post emerged claiming that the account had been hacked.
The message read: “My Instagram account has been hacked, efforts are being carried out to take back control #onelove!”
However, in a recent video shared on social media, 2Baba addressed the confusion, confirming that he personally made the initial statement about his separation.
Speaking in his characteristic calm tone, he clarified, “No body hacked my account, na me talk wetin I won talk” (“Nobody hacked my account, I said what I said”).
The revelation has stirred significant reactions online, with fans expressing mixed emotions ranging from shock and disappointment to outright dismay.
While some expressed support for the singer, others voiced concerns over the impact of the news on his family and public image.
2Baba, widely regarded as one of Nigeria’s most influential musicians, has yet to provide further details about the separation or his plans for an official press release.
Fans and followers are eagerly awaiting more information as the story continues to unfold.
