As the year comes to a close, Mp3bullet.ng compiles a list of the 20 Biggest and hottest Naija songs that rocked the airwaves in 2020.
While songs were released in the First Half of 2020 were released judiciously as a result of Naija Artists trying to adapt to the new normal as a result of the coronavirus pandemic.
In the Second Half of 2020, several albums from major Nigerian artists were released leading to the market almost being saturated.
This list contains the Hottest Naija Songs released in the second half of the year that caught people’s attention.

1. Davido – Fem
Davido released “Fem” as the first single off his “A Better Time” album. The song became popular during the #EndSars Protest.
2. Mayorkun ft Davido – Betty Butter
Mayorkun and Davido have certain chemistry when it comes to collaborating and that’s what fans get when they team up for “Betty Butter”. The song became Mayorkun’s third hit song for 2020.
3. Rema – Woman
Rema despite not releasing an album or an EP still produced hit songs in 2020 one of which is “Woman”. The Amapiano inspired song which pays homage to women of every shape and size is produced by Ozediku and Altims.
4. Patoranking – Abule
“Abule” is the lead single from Patoranking’s “Three” album that was inspired by life in the ghetto. The hyper-energetic street anthem was produced by Telz.
5. Davido ft Nicki Minaj – Holy Ground
Davido partners with American queen of rap, Nicki Minaj on the Afropop/Hip-hop song, “Holy Ground”.
6. Zlatan – Lagos Anthem
Zlatan sings about the Lagos lifestyle on “Lagos Anthem”. The street Anthem which is produced by P.Priime led to the popularity of the term, “Money No dey Lagos”.
7. Bella Shmurda ft Zlatan, Lincoln – Cash App
Bella Shmurda had released hit songs in 2020 but none could level up with what he did on “Cashapp”. The song which features Zlatan and Lincoln talks about cashing out by all means and hustling every day to enjoy a luxurious lifestyle.
8. Wizkid ft Burna Boy – Ginger
Wizkid dropped his critically acclaimed album “Made In Lagos” in the second half of the year and one standout song which has taken over airwaves is “Ginger” which features Burna Boy.
9. Omah Lay – Godly
After having an impressive year with the release of “Get Layd”, Omah Lay released another EP in the second half of 2020 which he titled “What Have We Done”. The lead single “Godly” is its biggest song off the EP.
10. Rexxie ft Mohbad – KPK
Rexxie is the Wizard behind most of the trending street Anthems and he partners with Mohbad on “KPK (Ko Por Ke)” which has taken over every party scene.
11. Zinoleesky – MaPariwo
Talented Zinoleesky is one of 2020’s breakout stars that have gotten people’s attention with his amazing talent. He serenades fans with “Mapariwo” a song about a love affair that is meant to be kept secret.

12 Jamo Pyper ft Mayorkun – If No Be You
Jamopyper and DMW Star, Mayorkun teamed up to create a smooth mid-tempo melody titled “If No Be You”. The song dominated airwaves and is officially a street jam.
13. DJ Tunez- PAMI Feat. Wizkid, Adekunle Gold & Omah Lay
DJ Tunez and Wizkid have always made magic anything they collaborate and it’s no surprise they would do the same thing on “Pami”. The song gets more interesting thanks tp the addition of Adekunle Gold and Omah Lay.
14 Olamide – Infinity ft Omah Lay
Olamide released his critically acclaimed album, “Carpe Diem” in the month of October. The album produced a lot o standout hits one o which is “Infinity” featuring Omah Lay whose Port-Harcourt slangs makes the song taste like a sweetened drink.
15. Davido – The Best ft Mayorkun
Just like “Betty Butter”, “The Best” is a collaboration between Davido and Mayorkun which is off Davido’s “A Better Time” album. The two artists as usual take listeners on a journey of sweet melody, catchy lyrics, and vibes.
16. Olamide – Triumphant FT Bella Shmurda
“Triumphant” is another hit track off Olamide’s “Carpe Diem” album. This song features Bella Shmurda sings of victories and triumphs.
17. Mohbad ft Naira Marley, Lil Kesh – Ponmo
Mohbad has released a number of hit songs in 2020 and “Ponmo” is one of them. The explicit song features Naira Marley and Lil Kesh on it.
18. Cheque – Zoom
Penthauze Artist and protege of Phyno, Cheque got fans jamming to an Afro-Trap/Emo song titled “Zoom”. The song is off his “Razor” EP. He later released a remix featuring Davido and American rapper, Wale.

Burna Boy is dubbed the African Giant for a reason. His versatility and range make him a big contender in the Industry and this he proves on “Way Too Big”.

Fireboy DML is quite talented and this he shows on “Champion”. The song which is off his “Apollo” album features rapper, D Smoke. The song is quite motivational and was used by an International Football club as their victory song.
