    2. Rema – Ginger Me

    Rema got fans dancing to The Elements-produced single ‘Ginger Me‘ as he expresses how much of an inspiration his love interest is to him.

    3. Simi – Duduke

    Simi had a great year thanks to the release of “Duduke”, a song dedicated to her Daughter, Adedeja. The song had people wishing they were pregnant too.

    4. Burna Boy – Wonderful

    Burna Boy pays homage to his roots and speaks on the inspiration behind his hustle on “Wonderful”. The song was the lead single fo his Grammy Nominated “Twice as Tall” album.

    5. Naira Marley- As E day Go

    Produced by Rexxie, “As E Dey Go” is Naira Marley’s biggest song of 2020 as he talks about being King of his hood and no one can overthrow him.

    6. Oxlade – AWAY

    Oxlade solidified his stay in the Nigeria Music Industry in 2020 with the breathtaking “Away” of his Oxygene EP. The song got the approval of even International Rapper, Drake.

     

    7. Mayorkun – Geng

    Mayorkun started the year with a bang in form of “Geng”. The song saw the birth of covers, a Viral Challenge, and an EP.

    8. Omah lay – Bad Influence

    Omah Lay came into the spotlight with the release of “You” but it was “Bad Influence” that became his top-charting song.

    10. Adekunle Gold- Something Different

    Adekunle Gold showed he couldn’t be boxed with his transition on “Something Different”. The track, produced by Blaise Beatz, is a fusion of alternative, Afropop, and jazzy elements.

    11. Joeboy-Call

    Joeboy reveals a darker, edgier side to him on “Call”. The song is the lead single from his upcoming debut album.

    12. Fireboy DML – New York City Girl

    Fireboy DML asks his visiting Love Interest for the last dance on the Type A-produced song.

    13 Falz ft Ms Banks – Bop Daddy

    Falz enlists British Rapper, Ms Banks to deliver this club hip-pop track with bass, vibe, and the big boy melody. Bop Daddy became popular after Falz started the bop Daddy Challenge.

    Bad Boy Timz came on the radar of music lovers with his smooth melody titled “MJ” which also pays homage to the king of Pop, Micheal Jackson. He also released two remixes featuring Mayorkun and Teni respectively.

     

    15 Ladipoe – Know You ft Simi

    Ladipoe and Simi come together to fuse rap and Afro-soul “Know You”. The song touches the theme of Love brilliantly and makes listeners fall in love with their chemistry.

     

    16 Kizz Daniel – Ada

    Kizz Daniel sings of his Love Interest who intends to settle down with on “Ada”. Produced by DJ Coublon and Young John, the song was the lead single from his “King of Love” album.

     

    17 Zlatan – The Matter

    Zlatan creatively put together trending news to create the street anthem, “The MAtter”. The song was birthed out of a viral Twitter hashtag where people shared crazy stories.

    18 Olakira- In My Masarati

    Olakira got people dancing to his street bop, “In My Masarati”. Though released in June, it took a month before dominating airwaves. He also released a remix of the song featuring Davido.

    19. Terri- Ojoro

    “Ojoro” is the lead single off “Afroseries” debut EP owned by Terri. In the Sarz-produced song, he pleads with his woman not to be shady and be upfront about she feels about him.
